NVIDIA and the Republic of Kazakhstan have signed a memorandum of understanding worth up to $2 billion to supply advanced AI chips and support the development of the country’s high-performance computing infrastructure. The partnership is designed to accelerate Kazakhstan’s transformation into a regional hub for artificial intelligence and digital innovation.
Under the agreement, Kazakhstan will gain access to NVIDIA’s most sophisticated processors while securing duty- and tax-free mechanisms and export pathways for high-tech imports. Analysts say the deal underscores the country’s ambition to leap-frog into frontier AI use-cases across energy, research and education sectors.
The collaboration could also strengthen NVIDIA’s position in Central Asia and boost the company’s long-term growth in global AI infrastructure markets. With demand for AI chip capacity surging worldwide, the move highlights how geopolitics and digital strategy are increasingly intertwined.
