Nikita Bier has stepped down as Head of Product at X, marking the departure of one of the company’s most prominent product executives. Elon Musk thanked Bier for his contributions, saying he would miss having him on the team.

The announcement comes as SpaceX employees are set to gain the ability to sell their shares on the open market for the first time, a milestone that could significantly increase liquidity for long-time employees and early investors.

Musk Thanks Bier for His Contributions

Bier joined X to help accelerate product development and user growth as the platform expanded its focus beyond social media into payments, AI, and creator tools.

Following the announcement, Musk publicly thanked Bier for his work at the company, describing his contributions as valuable and wishing him well in his future endeavors.

The company has not announced who will succeed Bier as Head of Product.

SpaceX Employees Reach a Liquidity Milestone

Beginning this week, eligible SpaceX employees are expected to be able to sell their shares on the public market for the first time following the company’s transition to public ownership.

The development represents a significant liquidity event for employees who have accumulated equity over many years while the company remained privately held.

Some market participants have speculated that the availability of employee-held shares could increase selling pressure on the stock, although the ultimate impact will depend on how many shareholders choose to sell and how much demand exists from new investors.

Social Media Speculation Remains Unverified

Posts circulating on social media have suggested that several senior employees across Musk’s companies have chosen to leave as liquidity opportunities become available. However, these claims have not been independently confirmed, and there is no public evidence establishing a broader trend connecting executive departures with employee share sales.

Investors are likely to monitor both insider selling activity and future executive departures closely as SpaceX enters its next phase as a publicly traded company.
