Standard Chartered expects Chainlink (LINK) to become one of the biggest beneficiaries of the expansion of tokenized assets and decentralized finance, projecting the token could reach $200 by 2030.
The forecast implies an increase of roughly 25 times from current price levels and reflects the bank’s view that Chainlink’s infrastructure will play an increasingly important role as financial institutions move real-world assets onto blockchain networks.
According to Standard Chartered, the primary growth drivers will be the rapid expansion of tokenization and decentralized finance (DeFi). As more traditional financial assets—including bonds, funds, equities, and other securities—are issued and traded on blockchain networks, demand for secure oracle infrastructure is expected to increase significantly.
Chainlink has established itself as the leading decentralized oracle network, enabling smart contracts to access real-world data such as asset prices, interest rates, proof-of-reserves, and cross-chain information. The protocol has also expanded into cross-chain interoperability through its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), which is increasingly viewed as critical infrastructure for tokenized financial markets.
The optimistic outlook comes as major financial institutions continue exploring blockchain-based settlement systems and tokenized assets. Banks, asset managers, and payment companies have accelerated investments in digital asset infrastructure, while Ethereum and other blockchain ecosystems are increasingly positioning tokenization as one of the industry’s largest long-term opportunities.
Standard Chartered’s forecast also reflects growing institutional interest in crypto infrastructure rather than purely speculative digital assets. Instead of focusing only on cryptocurrencies used as stores of value, investors are increasingly evaluating protocols that provide essential services for blockchain-based financial markets.
Despite the bullish long-term target, the projection remains subject to significant uncertainty. Chainlink’s future performance will depend on the pace of institutional adoption, competition from alternative oracle providers, regulatory developments, and broader cryptocurrency market conditions. As with all long-term price forecasts, the target represents an analytical scenario rather than a guaranteed outcome.
If tokenization develops at the scale many financial institutions anticipate, Chainlink could emerge as one of the core infrastructure providers supporting the next generation of digital capital markets.
