Global markets experience a rapid selloff over the past four hours, wiping out trillions of dollars in value across equities and digital assets. The S&P 500 loses about $831 billion in market capitalization, while the Nasdaq Composite sheds roughly $844 billion as risk appetite deteriorates sharply.

Cryptocurrency markets also come under heavy pressure. Bitcoin drops, erasing around $102 billion in value, while total crypto market capitalization falls by approximately $140 billion. The synchronized decline points to broad-based deleveraging across asset classes.

Leverage amplifies the move, with more than $400 million in long positions liquidated in a short span. Analysts say the speed of the losses highlights fragile market structure and heightened sensitivity to shifts in sentiment.
