Anthropic plans to present its third-quarter financial results to prospective investors on October 14 as it prepares for a potential initial public offering, CNBC reported on October 13, citing two people familiar with the matter. The figures would offer a fresh view of the Claude developer’s growth and profitability.

Selected institutional investors are expected to attend the meeting at Anthropic’s San Francisco headquarters. Bloomberg first reported plans for the October 14 event. Anthropic declined to comment to CNBC, whose report did not identify a public earnings release or specify management guidance.

The presentation would help executives and bankers assess investor demand ahead of a flotation. CNBC reported that a listing could value Anthropic at about $2 trillion, although people familiar with its plans could not confirm a debut date. That figure remains a potential valuation rather than agreed IPO pricing.

Anthropic announced its confidential submission of a draft Form S-1 to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on June 1. In that statement, the company said the offering would depend on market conditions and other factors, with the number of shares and price still to be determined.

Revenue definitions will also matter when comparing the update with other AI companies. As we previously reported, the treatment of cloud-partner sales complicated comparisons of OpenAI’s revenue figures. CNBC said it remained unclear how Anthropic would treat those sales in this presentation; a consistent accounting basis will be needed to assess the numbers.
