Anthropic reported more than $11.5 billion in second-quarter revenue, representing a 14-fold increase from a year earlier, as demand for its AI models continued to accelerate ahead of the company’s expected public market debut.

The company generated more revenue during the quarter than many established technology firms, reinforcing investor expectations that Anthropic could become one of the world’s most valuable publicly traded companies. According to previously reported estimates, the company is expected to pursue an IPO as early as September, with investors discussing valuations of up to $2 trillion.

Revenue Growth Continues to Accelerate

Anthropic’s second-quarter revenue exceeded $11.5 billion, compared with approximately $787 million during the same period last year.

The extraordinary growth reflects continued enterprise adoption of the company’s Claude family of AI models across software development, business automation, customer service, and productivity applications.

The company also reportedly achieved positive adjusted operating income during the quarter, marking another important milestone as it scales its commercial operations.

Pre-IPO Market Signals Rising Valuations

Investor enthusiasm continues to build ahead of the expected IPO.

Pre-IPO futures linked to Anthropic on cryptocurrency trading platforms have risen sharply over the past week, with traders currently implying a valuation of approximately $1.6 trillion to $1.85 trillion.

Those estimates remain below the $2 trillion valuation previously reported by the Financial Times but still suggest investors expect Anthropic to debut as one of the most valuable technology companies ever listed.

IPO Could Set a New Record

If Anthropic lists near the upper end of current expectations, the offering would become the largest IPO in history.

The company’s public debut would surpass previous record-breaking listings and establish a new benchmark for artificial intelligence companies entering public markets.

Strong revenue growth has strengthened investor confidence that Anthropic possesses both the commercial scale and financial momentum needed to justify one of the highest private company valuations ever assigned.

AI Investment Boom Continues

Anthropic’s results provide further evidence that enterprise spending on artificial intelligence remains exceptionally strong.

Businesses continue increasing investment in generative AI as they integrate large language models into software, customer support, coding, research, and internal operations.

With revenue growing rapidly and profitability improving, Anthropic is increasingly viewed as one of the strongest commercial competitors in the global AI industry—and its expected IPO could become one of the defining financial events of the decade.
