Apple ($AAPL) has launched its latest Mac Mini and Mac Studio desktops, expanding its Apple Silicon lineup with chips designed for stronger performance and on-device AI workloads. The Mac Mini is available with the new M6 or M5 Pro, while the Mac Studio offers M5 Max and M5 Ultra configurations.
The M6 Mac Mini starts at $899, while the M5 Pro version begins at $1,699. Mac Studio pricing starts at $2,499 with M5 Max and $5,499 with M5 Ultra. The new computers are now available to customers after being unveiled in August.
Apple is increasingly positioning its high-end Macs for local AI development. The M5 Ultra Mac Studio supports up to 512GB of unified memory, allowing developers to run extremely large AI models directly on the device rather than relying entirely on cloud infrastructure.
