Anthropic plans to proceed with its IPO roadshow next week, The Information reported on November 6, citing people familiar with the matter. The update points to formal marketing to prospective investors after a volatile period for technology shares.
The expected window is the week beginning November 9. Earlier IFR reporting had pointed specifically to November 9 for the roadshow, with pricing the following week. Those remain reported plans; the latest update does not establish a final offer price or confirm the first trading day.
The report follows doubts about whether the timetable could hold. Reuters reported on November 5 that potential buyers wanted a more attractive valuation, with some viewing $1.5 trillion as the high end of expectations. Anthropic declined to comment to Reuters. MarketSpeaker’s earlier coverage explains the investor pushback; proceeding with marketing would not resolve those pricing negotiations.
Anthropic announced its public IPO filing on October 26 and intends to list Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under ANT. Its November 2 amended prospectus still leaves the proposed price range and share count blank. Shares sold by existing holders would not generate proceeds for the company.
The quarterly results give investors rapid growth to weigh against substantial costs: third-quarter revenue reached $16.956 billion, about 47% above the previous quarter, while the company recorded a $567 million GAAP operating loss. The roadshow would let management make its case to buyers before the offering’s size and price are set.
