Michael Burry said he bought shares of Ero Copper ($ERO) and QXO ($QXO) on Monday, adding two companies tied to physical assets and construction to his portfolio. The investor disclosed the purchases publicly but did not specify the size of either position.

Ero Copper is a Brazil-focused mining company producing copper and gold, giving Burry exposure to metals benefiting from rising demand for power grids, data centers and other infrastructure. QXO, meanwhile, is a major North American distributor of building products, including roofing and waterproofing materials.

The purchases add to Burry’s recent portfolio activity across commodities, industrial companies and technology. His decision to buy Ero Copper and QXO provides another indication of where the investor currently sees opportunities outside the largest AI-related stocks.
