Airwallex raised $320 million in a Series H funding round, lifting the fintech company’s valuation to $11 billion as investors bet on the future of AI-powered finance.

The round was led by Addition and reflects continued investor demand for financial infrastructure companies positioned around global payments, automation, and artificial intelligence.

Airwallex said the funding will support its push into autonomous finance and agentic commerce, where AI agents increasingly handle business payments, reporting, compliance, and financial operations.

AI Agents Move Into Finance

Airwallex is building financial infrastructure for companies operating globally, including payments, business accounts, cards, expense management, and embedded finance tools.

The company is now expanding deeper into AI-driven finance through products designed to automate core financial workflows.

Airwallex said annualized revenue reached $1.3 billion in March, up 74% year-over-year, while annualized transaction volume climbed to $287 billion, more than doubling from a year earlier.

The company also said more than 90% of revenue now comes from customers using multiple Airwallex products, signaling broader adoption across its platform.

Fintech Infrastructure Race Accelerates

The funding round highlights rising investor interest in fintech companies that can combine global payment rails with AI automation.

As businesses increasingly operate across borders, demand continues growing for platforms that can manage payments, treasury, compliance, reporting, and financial workflows across multiple markets.

Airwallex is positioning itself as a core infrastructure provider for a world where smaller companies can scale globally with fewer employees and more AI-powered systems.

The broader takeaway is that fintech is moving beyond payments alone, with investors betting that AI agents will become a major force in how companies manage money, operations, and international growth.
