SpaceX acquires artificial intelligence startup xAI in a transaction valued at $250 billion, according to reports. The deal values SpaceX at roughly $1 trillion, marking one of the largest private acquisitions in technology history.

The transaction deepens integration between SpaceX’s space and satellite infrastructure and xAI’s advanced artificial intelligence models. Both companies are controlled by Elon Musk, and the merger is seen as a strategic step toward combining AI development with large-scale data, communications, and computing platforms.

Market estimates suggest the combined company could pursue an initial public offering at a valuation exceeding $1.75 trillion. If realized, this would position the group as the eighth most valuable company globally immediately after listing.
