Bitcoin has overtaken Tesla by market capitalization, climbing to roughly $1.63 trillion as the cryptocurrency traded above $81,000. Tesla, meanwhile, was valued at approximately $1.44 trillion based on its latest closing share price, leaving Bitcoin nearly $200 billion ahead.

The milestone follows Bitcoin’s latest rally above $80,000, which returned the cryptocurrency to the ranks of the world’s largest assets by market value. Renewed institutional demand has supported the move, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs returning to net inflows after recent outflows.

The comparison underscores Bitcoin’s growing scale in global financial markets, although the two market-cap figures represent fundamentally different assets. Bitcoin’s valuation is calculated from its circulating supply, while Tesla’s reflects the market value of its outstanding shares.
