NVIDIA plans to begin its first shipments of H200 artificial intelligence chips to China by mid-February, according to market sources. The H200 is a high-performance accelerator designed for large-scale AI training and inference, positioned below Nvidia’s most advanced models but still in strong demand among Chinese tech firms.

The move follows regulatory adjustments that allow exports of slightly older AI hardware to China, as demand for computing power continues to outstrip local supply. Chinese customers are reportedly lining up orders, with demand already exceeding Nvidia’s current production capacity.

For Nvidia, the shipments could provide a meaningful revenue boost while helping maintain its presence in one of the world’s largest AI markets. Investors are closely watching how export dynamics shape Nvidia’s growth outlook.
