Generation Z is on track to become the wealthiest generation in history, according to new economic research. Analysts estimate that by 2030, Gen Z will earn more than $36 trillion globally as they move deeper into the workforce and benefit from rising income levels. Despite facing higher living costs today, their spending already exceeds that of previous generations at comparable ages.

Over the coming decades, Gen Z’s total financial wealth could reach $84 trillion, driven by career progression, asset accumulation, and large-scale intergenerational wealth transfers. Inheritances from older generations are expected to play a significant role in accelerating this shift.

Economists say the group’s growing financial influence will reshape consumer markets, investment trends, and long-term economic growth, making Gen Z a central force in the global economy.
