Emirates will introduce free Starlink satellite Wi-Fi across its entire fleet beginning in November 2025, starting with Boeing 777 aircraft. The rollout will expand to Airbus A380s in early 2026, with full fleet completion targeted for mid-2027. Each aircraft will be equipped with multiple Starlink antennae to support high-speed, low-latency connectivity suitable for streaming, video calls and online work.
The service will be available gate-to-gate for all passengers, requiring only a one-click connection and no payment or membership. Emirates said the upgrade aligns with its broader cabin-modernization program and is designed to significantly improve the in-flight digital experience across all cabin classes.
Industry observers expect the move to increase competitive pressure on global airlines as passenger expectations for seamless in-flight internet continue to rise. The adoption of Starlink also highlights the growing role of satellite-based connectivity in the commercial aviation sector.
