FTSE Russell has partnered with Chainlink to publish major equity and digital asset index data directly on blockchains through Chainlink’s DataLink service. The initiative marks the first time a leading global index provider has made real-time benchmark data accessible on-chain for institutional and decentralized use.

The collaboration covers indexes such as the Russell 1000, Russell 2000, Russell 3000, and FTSE 100 – representing over $18 trillion in assets under management. It enables decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms and on-chain applications to securely integrate regulated benchmark data.

Analysts say the move highlights growing convergence between traditional finance and blockchain technology, paving the way for tokenized investment products and hybrid financial instruments built on trusted market data.
