Nvidia has introduced Nemotron 3, a new family of open artificial intelligence models, reinforcing its push beyond hardware into foundational AI software. Alongside the base release, the company also announced more powerful Nemotron 3 Super and Ultra versions, which are expected to launch in the first half of 2026. The move highlights Nvidia’s strategy to build an open ecosystem that complements its dominant GPU business.

Nemotron 3 is designed to support advanced reasoning, enterprise applications, and large-scale AI deployment, offering developers more flexibility compared with closed proprietary models. By keeping the models open, Nvidia aims to accelerate adoption across research institutions, startups, and enterprise customers while strengthening demand for its AI infrastructure.

Investors reacted positively to the announcement, with Nvidia shares rising about 1.7%. The market response reflects growing confidence that Nvidia can monetize AI not only through chips, but also through software platforms that shape how next-generation models are built and deployed.
