CMT Digital has raised $136 million for its fourth venture fund, focused on early-stage blockchain and Web3 startups. The Chicago-based firm plans to invest in projects developing decentralized finance infrastructure, stablecoins, and on-chain applications aimed at long-term scalability.

Roughly 25% of the fund has already been deployed into select blockchain infrastructure projects. Backed by institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals, the fund reflects growing interest in foundational technologies rather than speculative token launches.

CMT Digital’s new fund underscores a strategic shift in venture capital toward sustainable blockchain innovation and highlights continued confidence in the long-term potential of digital asset ecosystems.
