Visa Launches Fiat-Funded Stablecoin Payout Pilot for Businesses and Creators

Visa’s new pilot enables fiat-funded payouts to be received as stablecoins, streamlining payments for global businesses and creators.

Visa has unveiled a pilot program that allows U.S. businesses to fund payouts in fiat currency, while recipients receive those payments as U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoins directly to their digital wallets. The initiative is designed to make global payouts faster and more efficient, particularly for creators, freelancers, and international merchants.

Built on Visa Direct infrastructure, the pilot extends Visa’s use of blockchain technology from internal treasury operations to real-world consumer settlements. The system aims to deliver near-instant transfers, reduce cross-border friction, and improve access to liquidity for underbanked regions.

This move represents a significant milestone in the integration of stablecoins into mainstream finance. Visa’s long-term plan includes expanding the pilot globally, signaling how traditional payment networks are increasingly embracing digital assets to enhance transaction speed and accessibility.
