Tesla launches scaled-down Tesla Bot collectibles in China, releasing the figures ahead of the Lunar New Year. The 1:10 models are sold in a blind-box format, introducing a chance-based element aimed at boosting consumer engagement and repeat purchases.
Each figure consists of 40 individual parts and features 20 points of articulation, allowing for flexible posing. The toys measure 5.5 by 18.2 centimeters and are designed to mirror the appearance of Tesla’s humanoid robot concept, blending robotics branding with consumer merchandise.
Sales begin at 199 yuan per unit, with Tesla offering a 10% probability of receiving a special-edition design. The release highlights Tesla’s broader strategy of monetizing its technology narrative through lifestyle products, particularly in the Chinese market.
