Anthropic seeks to raise up to $25 billion in a new funding round backed by Sequoia Capital, GIC, and Coatue, underscoring surging investor appetite for artificial intelligence. The round implies a valuation of approximately $350 billion for the Claude chatbot developer.

The fundraising reflects rapid growth in enterprise and consumer demand for large language models, as well as intensifying competition among leading AI labs. Anthropic positions itself as a key rival to OpenAI, with a focus on safety-oriented model development and scalable deployment.

If completed, the round would rank among the largest private capital raises in technology history. The proceeds are expected to support expanded compute infrastructure, model training, and product development as AI spending accelerates globally.
