Jensen Huang, chief executive of Nvidia, says his biggest financial regret was selling Nvidia shares when the company’s market capitalization stood at just $300 million. Huang says the sale was made to buy his parents a Mercedes S-Class.
Reflecting on the decision, Huang describes the purchase as “The most expensive car in the world”, underscoring how dramatically Nvidia’s valuation has expanded since its early years. Nvidia has since become one of the world’s most valuable companies, driven by explosive demand for chips used in artificial intelligence computing.
