AMD announced that it has secured more than $45 billion in custom chip design wins set to begin ramping in 2026. The projects span aerospace, automotive, data center, and communications sectors, marking one of the largest multi-year contract pipelines in the company’s history.

CEO Lisa Su said the design wins reflect AMD’s expanding role as a provider of fully customized silicon solutions beyond traditional CPUs and GPUs. The program aims to strengthen long-term revenue visibility and profitability by aligning with large enterprise and government clients seeking bespoke AI and high-performance chips.

Analysts say the initiative positions AMD to capture higher-margin opportunities and diversify its semiconductor portfolio amid intensifying competition in the AI and data infrastructure markets. The rollout is expected to accelerate from 2026 through 2028.
